 Save $$ on Fuel Costs
 Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

A Community-driven Collaborative

What's all the buzz about?

Carpooling and Ridesharing is a proven way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that lead to global warming.  By simply consolidating passengers into fewer vehicles, we can save on fuel costs and drastically reduce carbon dioxide emissions without serious changes or investments to our transportation infrastructure.

RideBuzz members and supporters will be holding regular monthly meetings on thefirst Tuesday of each month.  We will alternate between locations (Amherst and Northampton) each month at the outset.  Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bangs Community Center, 70 Boltwood Walk, downtown Amherst, MA (map).  We are also scheduling a number of subcommittee meetings for particular focus groups.

Please read about our project plans here.

Our initial presentation & outreach meeting on April 3 and follow-up organizational meeting on April 14 were a huge success!!  We had around 80 attending the first event and 26 enthusiastic participants at the latter.  A big "thank you" to all the many wonderful people and organizations who helped to make it possible!
